The History of Kensico
Historic & Scenic Tour
The Kensico Cemetery has served the people of Westchester County and the New York Metropolitan area without regard to race, religion or national origin for more than 100 years. In that time, this scenic hillside cemetery has grown from less than 200 acres to its present 461 acres. Its premier location in the hills of Westchester County and the exquisite care and planning provided by the cemetery staff have helped it earn distinction as one of the most beautiful cemeteries in the United States. Among those buried at Kensico are international celebrities, noted authors, gifted artists and prominent business people. The following is a self-guided tour of several of Kensico's famous memorials. The tour is scenic and informative. We hope you enjoy it.
