With more than 130,000 burials to date and a 115-year history of caring for families with their burial needs, Kensico remains true to its original intent of offering the highest level of customer service, from train station pickups and graveside escorts to seven-days-a-week office hours and comfortable family waiting areas.
Lot owners are members of the nonsectarian, not-for-profit membership corporation established in 1889, which is regulated by a New York statutory law and managed by a dedicated board of directors. From the board of directors and the corporate officers to those responsible for daily operations and year-round maintenance of the property, the men and women of Kensico Cemetery proudly uphold its longstanding tradition of honoring and paying tribute to those buried there, a tradition deeply rooted in Kensico’s “more than a century of caring”.
