Enjoy a mash-up of music, mystery, and mausoleum stories during this free evening walking tour of The Kensico Cemetery grounds.
Highlights include a subway surprise, a silent film director, two sculptures hidden in plain sight, a Titanic mystery, a Hungarian dessert, a runaway horse, a vehicle that was awarded a Purple Heart, and a tribute to Twinkies.
Tours also point out one-of-a-kind mausoleums and statuary that contribute to Kensico’s unique landscape.
The tour guide is Patrick Raftery, Associate Director/Librarian; Westchester County Historical Society, and a board member of The Friends of Kensico, Inc.
Participants should wear comfortable shoes. Restrooms are open in the Administration Building at start and end of all tours. Bottled water will be available.
